CommBank Flood Relief supports DISCO

In early April 2022 the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) made available funding for organisations impacted by the floods In Queensland and Northern New South Wales earlier in the year.

The bank noted;

CBA knows the effects of this year’s floods will continue to be felt for some time. The floods have had a significant impact on communities, and resources have been stretched.

At CBA we remain committed to supporting our customers and communities who have been impacted by the floods. Through the CommBank Flood Relief Fund, a total of 80 Northern Rivers based community organisations have received $720,000 to help fund ongoing recovery efforts following the catastrophic floods earlier this year.

This forms part of our Flood Relief Grants program which has provided $2 million to support more than 200 community organisations and not-for-profits directly involved in the East Coast flood relief and recovery efforts.

DISCO had its Head Office site impacted by rain in January with the weather event causing damage after inflows impacted carpet, furniture and a computer.

DISCO made application to CBA for funds to replace the property damaged and was delighted to receive confirmation in May that the bank was providing nearly $7,000 to enable carpet and damaged furniture and a computer to be replaced.

DISCO wishes to thank CBA sincerely for their support.
