DISCO is delighted to have finally committed to be an entrant in the 2018 Carnival of Flowers parade.

Site Manager Mrs Annie White from DISCO’s James St office was successful in obtaining a small amount of funding from the Toowoomba Regional Council coupled with a real and genuine commitment from her team resulting in them nominating DISCO’s first ever float into the 2018 Carnival of Flowers Parade on the 22nd of September.

Mrs Annie White noted:

“I’m very proud of my team and the hard work they have undertaken over many weeks to bring our float together with the help of some of our clients. It took a lot of patience and commitment as we were inexperienced in the process and it all proved to be a big learning curve. Ultimately, however, we were thrilled with the finished product and very proud to show it off to the Toowoomba community and the visitors in town for Carnival”.

CEO Mike Paton also commented:

“Both Neil Davy (DISCO’s President) and I were delighted to ride in the vehicle during the Carnival parade and were immensely proud of the professional float and how that hard work was acknowledged by the crowd. The finished float was a credit to the James St team and we wish to thank and recognise them for their efforts. With a record breaking 94 floats in the 2018 Carnival of Flowers Parade we very much enjoyed being a part of the process and making a small contribution to help showcase to locals and visitors to the region the important work DISCO does supporting youth in our community”.
