DISCO Gets Busy @ Dusk

On Wednesday the 15th of August DISCO was delighted to be the sponsor for the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce’s Business @ Dusk event for the month of August.

More than 135 people representing businesses across Toowoomba & the Darling Downs joined community leaders at the Toowoomba Regional Council venue ‘The Annex’ to learn more about the activities and work of the Downs Industry Schools Co-operation Inc (DISCO).

To help chamber members learn more about the partnerships DISCO forms with local businesses, DISCO was supported by Mr Tim Wheeler who is Managing Director of Buchanan Advanced Composites, home of the Mansell Neonatal Retrieval System. Buchanan’s are experts in the design, engineering and production of composite fibre technology products for Neonatal Transport, Civil, Marine, Mining and Industrial applications as well as offering custom plug and mould manufacturing and prototyping. This Toowoomba-based company has tapped into and formed a partnership with DISCO to fill not only part and full time roles but also full time apprenticeship vacancies.

Connecting businesses and growing their B2B opportunities pool is what Business @ Dusk is all about. The evening allowed guests to not only expose their own business brand to the active Toowoomba business community, but also learn and connect with others.
