Welcome to the Downs Industry Schools Co-Op (DISCO)
DISCO has developed this site to provide information to the variety of people who link with our organisation for assistance.
As an organisation we have a primary objective of helping young people from 13 - 24 years of age. We provide assistance in a variety of ways and are supported by State and Federal Government programs as well as delivering a range of fee-for-service programs.
Managed by a Management Committee and supported by ordinary members made up of industry, educational and youth representatives, the program is monitored to ensure both education and industry work closely together to maximise the objective of giving each young person the best chance to make a smooth transition either through school or from school and gain the necessary experience to obtain employment and hopefully a career.
This is in line with DISCO’s Mission Statement, which is as follows………………………..
'Partnering Schools, Linking with Business, Supporting Youth'.
The organisation initially serviced schools in the Toowoomba and surrounding area but this has now grown to include schools across the Darling Downs. DISCO is proud of its relationships with external agencies and now works in partnership with many organisations to assist young people in a variety of ways.
DISCO employs only motivated and qualified staff to deliver the following programs and services.
- Structured Workplace Learning
- Get Set for Work
- Youth Support Coordinator
- Employment (YES)
- School-Based Traineeships & Apprenticeships
- Adopt-a-School
- Career & Transition
- Indigenous Boarders Support

As DISCO has developed we have recognised the importance of making information and resources available freely. Consequently we hope you find the site easy to navigate around and the information useful and beneficial.
Anyone of DISCO's team members would be happy to discuss our organisation and programs in more detail.
Regards
Mike Paton
